Postdoctoral Research Associate(s)

The Center for Biosystems and Engineering (CBE) has openings for qualified candidates with a strong background in biomaterials and biocompatibility, protein-surface and cell-surface interactions, and analytical techniques in support of such research. Qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to inquire about available positions in CBE. Recent PhDs with training in Surface Modification Chemistry/Cell Biology/Molecular Genetics/Bioengineering are highly desired. Graduate Research Assistantships

The Center for Biosystems and Engineering (CBE) has openings for Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs). Support is available for those interested in pursuing a graduate degree at VSU or at VCU. Graduate Research Assistants are supported by funded research grants with defined project goals and specific, targeted engineering deliverables. GRAs may pursue a curriculum in Engineering, Bioelectronics, Biology, Chemistry, or Biomedical Engineering.

Undergraduate Research Assistantships

The Center for Biosystems and Engineering (CBE) has openings for undergraduate students interested in conducting research. Undergraduate students are expected to commit to a minimum of 2 semesters and approximately 5 to 10 hrs/wk if they seriously want to conduct research in CBE. Students will have to register for the appropriate research course in their academic programs (i.e. senior design/ independent Research Projects/ Independent Studies).
