Mr. Bent is a consulting Research Scientist in the Department of Engineering & Technology. Founder of Bent Systems Inc., a firm specializing in RFID solutions. He graduated from Duke University with a B.S degrees in both Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. He went on to study at George Mason University, where he received a M.S. in Technology Management. Bent Systems is currently setting up the RFID Lab in the Department of E&T. As an active member of EPCglobal, he has co-authored the RFID standards now being adopted by companies worldwide. His current research interests are identity-based systems, asset management & supply-chain management, sensor networks, and their impact on industry and society.
