Dr. Bhardwaj is a Professor in the VSU's Agriculture Research Station. He works on several crops canola, camelina, mustard, and oilseed flax for biofuels and edible oils; and tepary bean and white lupin for food, feed and green manure legume crops. He graduated from Punjab Agricultural University (India) with a B. Sc. in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and went on to the University of Georgia where he received a Ph.D. in Agronomy with specialization in Plant Breeding. He is also involved with the industrial uses of crop plants and their products i.e. production of biodiesel.
