Dr. Newton is an Associate Professor in Aquaculture. His research interest includes commercial aquaculture development with warm water fish species; investigation of new and emerging aquaculture species for applications on small farms; farm pond management for aquaculture and related farm uses; and cage culture of warm and cold water fishes in farm ponds. He graduated from the Hendrix College with a B.S in Biology and went on to study Zoology at University of Arkansas where he received his Masters and received his Ph.D in Zoology from Southern Illinois University.
