Winnie is a Staff Research Scientist and a Sr. Electron Microscopy Technologist in the VSU's Agriculture Research Station. She graduated
from Virginia State Commonwealth University in 1992 with a B.S. in
Research Support Services and from VSU in 2007 with a master of
education degree in career and Technical Studies. She has worked in the
Medical College of Virginia as a biological science senior technologist
where she conduct biological research associated with microscopy. She
has also worked at NIH as a biological research specialist. Her research
interests include the development of an educational program specific to
VSU to diversify the use of electron microscopy as an applied
educational and research tool and the development of reference data base
for SEM of pollen grains specific to native wildflowers of Virginia.
